Cell Taxonomy is a manually curated repository of cell types and associated markers encompassing a wide range of species, tissues and conditions. Cell Taxonomy presents a well-structured taxonomy for curated cell types and incorporates scRNA-seq datasets for millions of single cells to enable further exploration of cell types and markers. Multi-faceted characterization is provided including association analysis of cell types/markers/tissues, cellular component similarity estimation and quality assessment of gene markers and cell clusters. Cell Taxonomy can serve as a fundamental reference cellular resource to help accurate cell type characterization and cell marker selection and support a wide range of single-cell research.
