Monitoring focus Biocides 2015 Wood laces and wood preservatives

Biocidal products may only be sold and used if they comply with the provisions of the Biocidal Products Regulation. In this report, the Federal Environment Agency experts examined the extent to which the stated concentrations of the active substances iodopropynyl butyl carbamate, tebuconazole and propiconazole are met for selected wood preservatives and other products used for wood painting. In addition, it has been established whether the biocidal active substances dichlofluanide and tolylfluanide are present in the products. With regard to wood preservatives, the indicated concentrations were observed, with a few exceptions. Most of the various care and coating protection products also contained biocidal active substances. 2-butanonoxim was often declared on the labels.
