资源简介:
X-chromosome inactivation (XCI) is the inactivation of one of the two X chromosomes in XX females as a form of dosage compensation between XX females and XY males in mammals. XCI allows XX females and XY males to have similar levels of X-linked gene expression. The Okinawa spiny rat, Tokudaia muenninki, has the X and Y chromosomes fused to an autosomal pair (neo-X and neo-Y). To reveal whether dosage compensation was formed between neo-X/neo-X females and neo-X/neo-Y males by comparing the expression level of their neo-X-linked genes, we performed the transcriptome analysis isolated from fibroblast cells of four males and three females in T. muenninki.
