Summary: This dataset shows statistics on the use of Irish in the Irish Language Networks from the censuses carried out in 2011 and 2016. Irish Language Networks are defined in accordance with the Limitations of Settlement or Electoral Divisions. This dataset is published online through the Language Planning Visualiser run by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht: http://arcg.is/2nkqdMb Abstract: The Dataset presents statistics from the 2011 and 2016 censuses relating to the use of Irish language for the Irish Language Networks. The Irish Language Networks are defined according to Settlement or Electoral Division boundaries.
