Gaia FGK Benchmark Stars version 2.1 (GBS v2.1) is a curated FGK stellar dataset created by institutions including the Astronomy Core, School of Engineering and Science, Diego Portales University, among others, containing 36 stars. This dataset utilizes high-resolution spectroscopic data and covers a broad range of metallicities. The angular diameters of most of these stars were measured via interferometry, and their effective temperatures were subsequently determined using the Stefan-Boltzmann relationship. The creation of this dataset involved detailed spectroscopic analysis of stellar parameters, and it has been applied to the validation and calibration of multiple spectroscopic catalogs. GBS v2.1 is primarily used for calibrating spectroscopic analyses to ensure that simple assumptions in spectral line formation are consistent with fundamental values, and it is widely utilized in the field of astronomy, especially in the automated and efficient processing of spectroscopic data.
