Townsend�s big-eared bats (Corynorhinus townsendii Cooper, 1837) are insectivorous evening bats that occurs across most of the western United States, Canada, and Mexico, with isolated populations in central and eastern United States. This species requires large cavities for roosting, most often abandoned mines and buildings, caves, and sometimes in tree cavities.. These data have been produced as part of the CCGP. Sequencing was conducted with HiFi Pacific Biosciences long reads at UCDavis Genome Core, Dovetail's OmniC libraries, and Illumina sequencing at UCBerkeley QB3 Genomics Core.
