We discovered that the amendment of soils with gamma-glutamyl-S-allyl-L-cysteine (GSAC) significantly suppressed Fusarium wilt. Thereby, in order to unravell the mechanism underlying the Fusarium wilt suppressiveness of the GSAC amended soils, amplicon sequencing of 16S rRNA gene for soils amended with GSAC and their respective control soils amended with sterile distilled water.
