Seabird observations by Louise Bight from the tourist vessel Hanseatic, Drake Passage and Antarctic Peninsula, austral summer 1996/97

Seabird observations by Louise Bight from multiple voyages of the tourist vessel Hanseatic in the Drake Passage and northern areas of the Antarctic Peninsula during the austral summer 1996/97. Counts of species from the forward quadrant for a duration typically 10 minutes. Incidental observations of birds, cetaceans and seals were also recorded. 1996/97年南半球夏季期间，Louise Bight借助“汉萨号”（Hanseatic）旅游船的多次航行，在德雷克海峡（Drake Passage）及南极半岛（Antarctic Peninsula）北部海域开展海鸟观测。观测以船舶船头前方象限为统计区域，单次观测时长通常为10分钟，对该区域内的鸟类物种进行个体计数。本次研究同时附带记录了偶遇的鸟类、鲸类及鳍足类动物的观测数据。本数据集由ANARE（澳大利亚国家南极研究探险队，Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions）的数据记录表数字化整理而来，原始数据表可通过以下链接获取：https://www.marine.csiro.au/data/trawler/download.cfm?file_id=5517
