Interview of Fritz Patterson, Deputy Chief, Law Enforcement Division, Office of Emergency Services. Topics include the role and function of his office, the office's contingency planning for the King verdict, the office's role in helping curtail the violence and unrest, and his recommendations and criticisms with regard to the response to the civil disturbance, 1992 August 27.
