Variation in fruit quality of triploid Diospyros lotus

Polyploid breeding is an important approach for germplasm innovation and breeding of high-quality varieties of Persimmon plants. The triploid D.lotus has large fruit and no seeds and has great development potential. However, due to the lack of precise evaluation of its fruit quality, its development and utilization efficiency are low. Therefore, to better utilize polyploid germplasm and deeply explore the advantageous traits and excellent genetic resources of polyploids, this project conducts molecular basis research on the variation of fruit quality using triploid and diploid D. lotus as materials.
