BIOME4 vegetation simulations for Beringia for the Late Quaternary and future projection

Biome distributions for Beringia were simulated for the Late Quaternary periods by employing a global equilibrium biogeochemistry-biogeography model, BIOME4. This model was driven by the same numerical climate model outputs as used for the frozen ground mapping, and validated against the above pollen-based biomes. Projection of future biomes for the region has also been produced.本研究采用全球平衡生物地球化学-生物地理学模型BIOME4，对白令亚（Beringia）晚第四纪时期的生物群系（Biome）分布开展了模拟。该模型以与冻土制图所用一致的数值气候模式输出结果作为驱动数据，并依据前述基于孢粉的生物群系完成了验证。此外，本研究还生成了该区域未来生物群系的分布预估结果。
