Although numerous studies have reported A. fumigatus mycoviruses from Japan in East Asia, Europe, and the United States, no analysis of the A. fumigatus virome from clinical strains in the Chinese region has been conducted. Here, we employed metatranscriptomic analyses to screen mycoviruses in 306 clinical strains from three Chinese hospitals, identifying 8 known mycoviruses and one novel narnavirus.
