This dataset holds the source code and installation instructions for operating the Wallace Initiative v3 web tool, originally available at https://wallaceinitiative.org and https://wallace.hpc.jcu.edu.au/maps/, an interactive mapping interface for examining effects of climate change on approximately 135,000 terrestrial fungi, plants, birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and insects worldwide.
This builds upon work previously completed as part of Wallace v2.0.
This dataset includes Python web application code, scripts, virtual machine (VM) backups (taken on 2021-08-23) and written documentation explaining installation and configuration processes.
Software/equipment used to create/collect the data: Underlying data was produced using the software provided in Wallace v2.0: Accessory data and files for producing species distributions. Processing of models occurred on James Cook University's High Performance and Research Computing (HPRC) environment.
Software/equipment used to manipulate/analyse the data: Wallace web app is a custom application, written in Python, that depends on ElasticSearch, geoserver (and corresponding nginx configuration) and ran on James Cook University's corporate virtual machine infrastructure.
