Electronic cigarette aerosols have been shown to induce cardiovascular and systemic dysfunction leading to exacerbation of inflammatory and metabolic disease associated with elevated levels of serum free fatty acids. In this study we show that electronic cigarette aerosol with nicotine induces a pro-inflammatory and pro-lipolytic effect on adipose tissue of ApoE knockout mice.
