This dataset is a compilation of standard Level 3 methane column concentration products from the Greenhouse Gases Observing Satellite-1 (GOSAT-1) in 2020. The data originates from the GOSAT satellite, which was launched by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) for monitoring atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide and methane, and it features a global revisit capability of once per day. To facilitate access for domestic users, this dataset is curated and maintained by the team of the National Earth Observation Science Data Center. Individual products are aggregated into compressed datasets by month or year for data distribution and service delivery.
