CBS population centers 2011 (WFS)

The 2011 population core stock contains statistical key figures per population core. The demarcation of population centres stems from a demand for figures at the level of population centres in Eurostat’s 2001 census programme. The concept of population core is in line with the concept of locality that the United Nations engages in its recommendations for holding a census. This definition of the concept and its application in practice focuses on the presence of a man-occupied area, which must also meet a number of conditions in terms of buildings.
