本数据资源是中国遥感卫星地面站目前所接收和处理的 IRS-P6卫星数据。IRS-P6，也被称为RESOURCESAT-1，是印度空间研究组织建造的地球观测卫星。IRS-P6于2003年10月17日，由PSLV-C5运载火箭在斯里哈里科塔航天中心发射。
IRS-P6是印度空间研究组织的IRS系列的第十颗卫星，目的是不仅继续IRS-1C和IRS-1D，两者所提供的遥感数据服务都远远超过了预先设计的任务，同时也大大提升了数据质量。IRS-P6卫星的总体目标是提供有关综合土地和水资源管理的业务基础仍然遥感数据服务。IRS-P6带有一个容量为120千兆字节的固态记录器来存储它的摄像机拍摄的图像，这样就可以很方便地被地面站读取。

This data resource covers the IRS-P6 satellite data currently received and processed by the China Remote Sensing Satellite Ground Station. IRS-P6, also known as RESOURCESAT-1, is an Earth observation satellite built by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). It was launched on October 17, 2003, by the PSLV-C5 launch vehicle at the Sriharikota Space Centre.

IRS-P6 is the 10th satellite in ISRO's IRS series. It was developed to not only carry forward the remote sensing data service missions of IRS-1C and IRS-1D, both of which far exceeded their pre-designed mission lifespans and service capabilities, but also significantly improve data quality. The core objective of the IRS-P6 satellite is to provide operational remote sensing data services for integrated land and water resource management. The satellite is fitted with a 120-gigabyte solid-state recorder to store images captured by its on-board cameras, allowing convenient data retrieval by ground stations.
