Co-creation data on motivational strategies for the return of electronic healthcare devices collected in Spain, Belgium & Slovenia (2023)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains qualitative data collected during co-creation sessions conducted in 2023 as part of the DiCE project. The co-creation sessions explored how citizens can be encouraged to return electronic healthcare devices after use, with particular attention to motivational and nudging strategies throughout the device user cycle. The sessions were conducted in three regions: Antwerp (Belgium), Valladolid (Spain) and Maribor (Slovenia), and involved participants from different age groups. Participants discussed electronic healthcare devices such as smart pillboxes, smart patches, blood pressure monitors, thermometers and smart watches. The dataset contains two main types of data: Evaluation of predefined motivational strategies. Participants assessed five motivational strategy concepts developed within the project and identified positive aspects as well as possible improvements. Co-created motivational strategies across the user cycle. Participants developed their own ideas for encouraging the return of electronic healthcare devices at four stages of the user cycle: Get it, Use it, Done with it, and Returning it. Their suggestions were subsequently coded into broader categories, including educational initiatives, information on the device or packaging, notifications and reminders, and deposit, reward and incentive systems. The Excel workbook contains both participants' input and the subsequent categorisation of these responses. Where available, contextual variables such as country, age group, healthcare device and co-creation group are included. The dataset provides insight into citizens' preferences and ideas concerning awareness raising, motivational interventions and return behaviour for electronic healthcare devices and can be used to inform the design of circular collection and return strategies.
