In this study, we sequenced the BCP/PreC/C region of HBV in the sera of patients with different HBV infection phases using next-generation sequencing technology, and investigated the quasisspecies evolutionary characteristics of patients with HBeAg-positive chronic infection, HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis, HBeAg-negative chronic infection and HBeAg-negative chronic hepatitis.This might provide a novel marker for accurately diagnosing and treating chronic hepatitis B.
