We will measure the magnon dispersion in the transition metal dichalcogenide MnTe2 using Resonant Inelastic X-ray Scattering (RIXS). Mn-based dichalcogenides have attracted interest due to their magnetic behavior and potential for two-dimensional magnetism. Understanding their spin dynamics is essential to clarify the microscopic origin of the magnetic interactions. RIXS is particularly well-suited for this purpose, as it provides element-specific and momentum-resolved access to magnetic excitations. Measurements will be carried out below and above the Néel temperature (TN = 87 K) to follow the evolution of magnetic excitations across the antiferromagnetic to paramagnetic transition
