Pacific Crest Trail Centerline

This line data is the most accurate representation of the location of the PCT available. This data was originally created using Halfmile's 2018 data release, and updated with all recent reroutes and adjustments incorporated into the data in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. Last Update 01/2026. This data is updated annually by PCTA's GIS Specialist. It is performed early in the year, along with the generation of new mile marker data. Data collected by Halfmile varies in accuracy for different regions of the trail, but was done using survey-grade GPS technology.
