Where are the boundaries between what it's and what is not archaeology? Every set of material culture is suitable of archaeological study. That's the case of this okupa (squatter) house in Santiago de Compostela. Surveying the yard, we found that the squatters had orchards and a gathering place around a fire, with some chairs. They also barricade the back entrance. Power is not just manifested in terms of violence (Clastres 2016), wherever is power, there is resistance or multiplicity of resistances (Miller & Tilley 1984). Resistance doesnt mean direct clash, there are tinny actions, strategies, which could difficult the work of a domination system (Ruibal & Ayan 2018). Squatterization is one example of this, because the people involved denies statehood, tributary system, aceptance of property, etc. Materially this could be seen in a reformulation of the spaces, reuse of objects of different chronology and the symbolism of the fachade art.
