Microbiota related to Defencin production. mouse gut metagenome

To evaluate mocrobiota to defencin production, we performed 16S-metagenomics in feces of SPF mice. Offspring mice at 1 (n=5), 2 (n=5), 3 (n=6), 4 (n=5), 6 (n=4), and 8-week old (n=5) (male : female=2:2 , 2:3, 3:2 or 3:3) were euthanised using inhalation anaesthesia of sevoflurane (Sevoflo, DS Pharma Animal Health, Osaka, Japan) and then colonic contents and distal ileal tissue (2 cm) were collected for analysis of microbiota and the level of alpha-defensin, respectively.
