Land use capacity

The purpose of the Capability of Use Charter is to divide the regional territory into areas based on the possibility of conveniently carrying out a more or less large number of the main agricultural and / or forestry crops. With reference to the possible crops in the most favored agricultural areas of Emilia-Romagna, to which the concept of maximum capacity of use (I class) has been associated, all those factors that in some way restrict the scope of choice of crops and / or their productivity have been considered. The Land Use Capacity Charter for agriculture and forestry is a database for assessing the capacity of soils to produce normal crops and forest species over long periods of time, without the occurrence of soil degradation. The classification system provides for eight classes of capacity for use defined according to the type and intensity of limiting the soil conditioning both the choice of crops and the productivity of the same. The assignment to the class is made on the basis of the most limiting factor; At the next stage, soils are allocated to subclasses and units of capacity for use. This mechanism makes it possible to identify soils that, although with different characteristics at taxonomic level, are similar in terms of potential agricultural and forestry use and present similar problems in the management and conservation of the resource.土地利用能力宪章（Capability of Use Charter）的核心宗旨为：依据区域范围内可便捷开展多数主要农林作物种植的可能性，将辖区划分为不同功能片区。针对艾米利亚-罗马涅大区最优质农业区域中可种植的作物（该区域已被纳入最高利用能力（一级）范畴），本宪章已全面考量所有会在不同程度上限制作物选择范围及其生产力的各类因素。本农林土地利用能力宪章（Land Use Capacity Charter）是用于评估土壤在长期内可正常种植常规作物与林木、且不会发生土壤退化的能力的专业数据库。该分类体系共设置八级土地利用能力等级，划分依据为同时影响作物选择及土壤生产力的土壤限制因素的类型与强度。等级划分以最关键的限制因素为依据；后续将进一步将土壤划分为土地利用能力亚类与单元。 该机制可识别出那些虽在分类学层面具有不同特征，但在农林利用潜力上相近、且在资源管理与保护方面面临相似问题的土壤。
