资源简介:

This dataset supports the evaluation analysis presented in the research paper "Assessing satellite-based precipitation products around the South China Sea." It provides unified daily time series (from January 1, 2011, to December 31, 2019) for various precipitation products collocated at specific meteorological station locations across the South China Sea region. The core of this dataset is the application of a bilinear interpolation method to resample gridded precipitation products with varying spatial resolutions onto the precise geographic coordinates of ground-based meteorological stations. This processing enables a direct, consistent, and fair quantitative comparison and evaluation of precipitation estimates from different sources at the same location and time. It serves as foundational data for validating the accuracy and applicability of satellite and reanalysis precipitation products over the complex terrain and monsoon-dominated climate of the South China Sea. Data Content: File: DATASETS.xlsx Temporal Coverage: 2011-01-01 to 2019-12-31. Temporal Resolution: Daily. Unit: All precipitation values are in mm/day. Data Columns: Station Information: DATE, YEAR, MONTH, DAY, STATION, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, ELEVATION. Ground-Based Reference Data: In-situ precipitation measurements from the Global Surface Summary of the Day (GSOD) dataset, typically used as the reference "ground truth" for evaluation. Reanalysis Precipitation Data: Precipitation data from the ERA5 reanalysis product provided by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). Multi-Satellite Retrieval Precipitation Products: Data from various mainstream satellite-based precipitation products, likely accessed via the Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform. These include: IMERG-Final (IMERG-F): The post-real-time run of the Integrated Multi-satellitE Retrievals for GPM. GSMaP-Gauge (GSMaP-G): The gauge-adjusted version of the Global Satellite Mapping of Precipitation. TRMM 3B42 (TRMM): The Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission Multi-satellite Precipitation Analysis product . PERSIANN-CDR: The Precipitation Estimation from Remotely Sensed Information using Artificial Neural Networks - Climate Data Record. Data Processing Methodology:All original gridded precipitation data (ERA5 and satellite products) were spatially interpolated to each GSOD meteorological station's coordinates using the bilinear interpolation algorithm. This generated daily-scale time series of estimated precipitation values (in mm/day) synchronized with the station observation times.
