Brazil: main types of wine produced in Rio Grande do Sul 2021

The main type of wine produced in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil's largest wine-producing state, is red table wine. In 2021, around 146 million liters of red table wine were produced in this state. The second most common type of wine by production volume was white table wine, with an output of over 26.4 million liters. White fine wine ranked third, at around 20.9 million liters, followed by red fine wine, with 20.4 million. Rio Grande do Sul is, by far, the Brazilian state with the largest vineyard surface area.
