Relief of the Annunciation (Angel Gabriel)

This relief is a fragment of a broader piece. The Annunciation usually represent Angel Gabriel facing the Virgin, and often the dove of the Holly Spirit. This scene is about how the Virgin is told she will bear the son of God. Of this scene, here only the Angel Gabriel remains, obviously facing another character. One can distinguish his wings in his back, and his halo around his head.
