Hazard and Risk Maps for the 2025 USGS National Seismic Hazard Model for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands

This dataset contains selected mean uniform-hazard ground motion maps for the 2025 U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Seismic Hazard Model for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Uniform-hazard ground motion maps (0.01o x 0.01o grid spacing) are available for (1) peak ground acceleration (PGA) and pseudo-spectral accelerations of 0.2, 1.0, and 5.0-s, (2) uniform-hazard ground motion values of 2 and 10% in 50-years probabilities of exceedance (corresponding to 2475 and 475-year return periods, respectively), and (3) National Seismic Hazard Reduction Program site classes BC (Vs30 = 760 m/s) and D (Vs30 = 260 m/s). This dataset also includes chance of potentially damaging ground shaking (Modified Mercalli Intensity = VI) in 100 years data and map. See the Hazard_and_Risk_Maps_READ_ME.txt file for more details.
