Extracellular recordings and juxtacellular labelling with glass electrodes in the mouse anterodorsal thalamic nucleus and hippocampus
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains data files consisting of simultaneously recorded local field potentials from hippocampal CA1 and the anterodorsal thalamic nucleus (ADn) of awake adult mice, along with action potentials from single ADn neurons. Data were recorded with glass electrodes during spontaneous movement and rest periods on a running disc (followed by juxtacellular labelling of some of the ADn cells). The files are organised by cell (neuron) name. These recordings are reported in Hijazi & Jiang et al Current Biology 2026 (details of each cell, along with their neurochemical identity, are listed in Table S1, and recording locations are shown in Figure S1). Compressed (*.ZIP) files containing the following: *.MAT file (version 6). These files typically contain the following channels, exported from the original Spike2 (*.smrx) recording files: Local field potential (ADn), in mV (20 kHz sampling rate). Typically named 'loc WB' (local wideband; 0.3 Hz to 8 kHz). Filtered spikes (ADn), in mV (20 kHz sampling rate). Typically named 'loc units' (local units; 400 Hz to 8 kHz). Local field potential (hippocampal CA1), in mV (20 kHz sampling rate). Typically named 'ref WB' (reference wideband; 0.3 Hz to 8 kHz). Other associated files. Each cell typically includes: *.CSV file containing information on the recording, including the start time of the IMU, and start and end times of the recording. Detected spikes (in seconds) from the single ADn cell (*.txt file). These spike times were extracted from the filtered spikes channel described above. Inertial measurement unit (IMU) data (*.txt file). These data are used to calculate the direction of the animal (see Methods in Hijazi & Jiang et al 2026 or the associated Github repository for details). For the IMU data, the columns are typically arranged as follows: rtcDate, rtcTime, Q9_1, Q9_2, Q9_3, HeadAcc, RawAX, RawAY, RawAZ, RawGX, RawGY, RawGZ, RawMX, RawMY, RawMZ, output_Hz, count. Speed data (*.txt file). Each datapoint (in seconds) represents movement of the rotatory encoder. The rotary encoder has 1000 counts per revolution and the radius (distance from the mouse's head to the centre of the running disc) is typically 6.5 cm (shown in the metadata at the beginning of the speed data file); these can be used to calculate running speed.
