Recommendations Extraction of ADA guideline. The ADA guideline was developed using a standard methodology by the ADA’s Professional Practice Committee. The guideline included general recommendations about all kinds of diabetes, and there were only 17 relevant recommendations being extracted, which were displayed and appraised in Additional file 4.
