The continuous light absorption photometer (CLAP) operates on the same principle as the particle soot absorption photometer (PSAP), i.e., continuously measuring transmission through a filter substrate as sample air is drawn through it. The absorbing aerosol particles are collected in the filter. \n \nThe CLAP is part of the aerosol observing system (AOS).连续光吸收光度计（continuous light absorption photometer，CLAP）的工作原理与颗粒炭黑吸收光度计（particle soot absorption photometer，PSAP）一致，即在采样空气被抽吸流过滤膜基材时，持续测量其透光率，采样空气中的吸收性气溶胶颗粒会被收集在该滤膜上。 CLAP属于气溶胶观测系统（aerosol observing system，AOS）的组成部分。
