opto-2: LFPs characterisation – light-intensity sweep
收藏资源简介:
Experiment: Characterization of local field potentials (LFPs) evoked by photostimulation across different light intensities Description: This experiment aimed to evaluate how the amplitude of optogenetically evoked LFPs in the primary somatosensory cortex (S1) varies as a function of light intensity. To this end, mice expressing ChR2 in either glutamatergic or GABAergic neurons received ten photostimulation pulses (10 ms duration) at randomly ordered intensities ranging from 10 to 100 mA. Stimuli were delivered every 10 ± 2 seconds. The use of randomized intensity order was designed to minimize neuronal adaptation or habituation to repeated stimulation. The recorded LFPs allowed assessment of the relationship between stimulus intensity and neural response strength, providing a characterization of neuronal recruitment dynamics.
