资源简介:
Obesity, specifically excess lipid accumulation, is a serious threat to public health. Probiotics, prebiotics, synbiotics, and postbiotics are powerful regulators of gut microbiota, which possess properties that can attenuate fat accumulation. A study has shown that Bifidobacterium longum BBMN68 could be used as probiotics as they possess properties like tolerance to bile stress and adhesion. Therefore, in this study, we aim to determine if heat-killed Bifidobacterium longum BBMN68 and inulin could prevent/reduce obesity. We used Wistar rats fed a high-fat diet and orally administered heat-killed BBMN68 and/or inulin for 12 weeks.
