2009 - 2011 Centre for Environment, Fisheries & Aquaculture Science (Cefas) North Sea and English Channel Organic Carbon and Nitrogen in Sediments

Concentration of organic carbon and organic nitrogen from CHN analysis of sediment samples collected by box core from sites in the English Channel and North Sea during three surveys on RV Cefas Endeavour (Cruise Codes CEND 15/09, CEND 11/10 and CEND 11/11), with associated summary PSA data (%gravel, %sand, %mud). Mostly UK waters in coverage but some data from the Oyster Grounds (Dutch waters). Cores were sliced and sampled at a range of depth horizons and the data compiled to provide average values for the 0-5 cm and 5-10cm depth layers. These were used to summarise profiles and describe spatial variance within four Ecohydrodynamic Units (EHUs).本数据集收录了通过碳氢氮元素分析（CHN）得到的英吉利海峡与北海海域多个站位的沉积物样品的有机碳与有机氮浓度数据，上述样品通过箱式采泥器（box core）采集，依托RV Cefas Endeavour号调查船的三次科考航次（巡航代码分别为CEND 15/09、CEND 11/10与CEND 11/11）获取，同时附带配套的颗粒尺寸分析（Particle Size Analysis）汇总数据，包含砾石占比、砂占比与粉砂占比。本数据集覆盖范围以英国海域为主，同时包含部分来自牡蛎滩（荷兰海域）的样品数据。所有采集的沉积物岩心均按不同深度层位进行切割取样，经数据整合后得到0~5 cm与5~10 cm两个深度层的平均数值，以此对沉积剖面进行总结，并刻画四个生态水动力单元（Ecohydrodynamic Units，EHUs）内部的空间变异特征。
