Knowledge production on dance and physical education in Brazil: analysis of scientific articles

Abstract The aim of this study is to analyze the productions derived from scientific articles about dance as knowledge treated by the area of physical education, with the intention of identify its main themes of study. It is a research of quantitative approach, of the documentary type, that takes as a source the productions on dance and physical education made available in the national newspapers. Identified that the dance possesses diverse possibilities of themes of studies, but is in the education that she gains greater prominence, followed by topics that discuss about dance with possibility of movement, motor performance and physical activity.
