Biogas energy capacity in Latin America and the Caribbean 2011-2023

The biogas energy generation capacity in Latin America and the Caribbean more than tripled in one decade. In 2023, the biogas capacity in the region was around 823 megawatts, up from 225 megawatts registered in 2011. Brazil registered the largest biogas capacity in Latin America, accounting for more than half of the region's total.
