Data, images and statistical analysis of the GABA-Glutamate system in ZIKV

This dataset contains processed Western blot (WB) densitometry data for GABAergic and glutamatergic metabolic intermediates and transporters in cortical and cerebellar tissue from mock-infected and Zika virus (ZIKV)-infected mice. Total protein signal was used as the loading control for normalization prior to statistical analysis.

Additionally, the dataset includes statistical tables corresponding to qRT-PCR differential expression assays for GABA-A and NMDA receptor subunits in the same infection models. Detailed descriptive statistics (skewness and kurtosis) and assumption checks (residual randomness, goodness-of-fit, normality, and homoscedasticity tests) are provided to justify the selection of parametric or non-parametric hypothesis testing
