资源简介:
Other entries related to work done on the withdrawn lands along the Salt River can be found at the following link: https://core.tdar.org/collection/27771 The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) has identified approximately 2,530 acres of land for a Class III (intensive) cultural resource survey for Section 110 inventory purposes. The land was withdrawn for the Salt River Project (SRP) and is located upstream from the Granite Reef Diversion Dam on the south side of the Salt River. The withdrawn land is within the Tonto National Forest (TNF). At the request of Reclamation, Archaeological Consulting Services, Ltd. (ACS) conducted an intensive cultural resources survey of the project area to provide an inventory and assessment of cultural resources that might occur within the parcel. The fieldwork was conducted between June 12 and 23; and July 24 and August 2, 2006 by Linda M. Schilling, Adam Archual, Eric Carlson, Shawn Fackler, Carl J. Gordon, Tom Jones, Joe Pearl, and Sarah Schreyer, working under noncollection permit MES192 issued by TNF. Nineteen sites and 131 isolated occurrences were identified. The photos taken during the survey can be found at https://core.tdar.org/image/393942. The final report of the survey is available at https://core.tdar.org/document/393940.
