Overview: Reconstructed SPI/SPEI Trend Slopes (Figure 6 & Table 4) and MAS from Dukat et al. (2022)This dataset contains slope estimates derived from Figure 6 and slopes from Table 4 of Dukat et al. (2022) [1], presenting SPI and SPEI drought severity trends.Figure 6, Section 4.2Using WebPlotDigitizer [2], we extracted the start and end points of each linear trend line shown in Figure 6. From these, we calculated the slope for each index and station, then computed the absolute value of each slope. We calculated the Mean Absolute Slope (MAS) for 36 index-location-combinations. MAS quantifies the magnitude of change independent of direction.Table 4, Section 4.2We calculated MAS directly from the 18 slopes presented in Table 4.These values are referenced in our PubPeer comment to assess the consistency of reporting and interpretation of statistically non-significant trends.References[1] Dukat, P., Bednorz, E., Ziemblińska, K. et al.
