The "Automated Weather Station Data for the High Plains" dataset
includes information pertaining to surface evapotranspiration
and surface energy exchange processes. Types of information
collected at the 140 Automated Weather Stations include solar
radiation, soil temperature, air temperature and relative
humidity, wind speed and direction, and precipitation. Data are
collected automatically over telephone and satellite linkages.
Collection Organization: High Plains Climate Center.

telephone and satellite linkages. Sites visited for
maintenance. Annual calibration and daily quality control.
Collection Frequency: Daily.
Update Characteristics: All data are updated.

ACCESS/AVAILABILITY:
The data are online for all years and all stations. The size of
the data set is one megabyte per year for three stations.
