HCC intratumor microbiome

In the field of cancer research, there is a growing interest in studying the presence and impact of intra-tumor flora. Recent evidence suggests that these microorganisms may play a significant role in cancer diseases. Specifically, in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), a type of liver cancer, studies have identified certain bacteria that are linked to the regulation of the DNA methylation pathway. To further investigate this connection, our study collected tumor and adjacent normal tissue samples from 72 surgical patients with HCC. We conducted 16SrRNA sequencing to analyze the bacterial composition in these samples.
