资源简介:
At the SSW side of a large, possibly early ecclesiastical, enclosure (CO060-040001-); two similar-sized upright stones (H 1.8m; 0.4m x 0.4m; axis SE-NW) flank the entrance into the enclosure. The westerly stone (CO060-185----) was described by Brash (1879, 132) as containing 'upon the upper part of an angle a few vowel scores, much worn'. In 1907 Macalister (1945, 111-2, no. 111) read the inscription as LUGUDECA MAQI SI[TT?]ALI MUCOI M....; on later examination he admitted 'this once fine inscription is, I fear, now beyond hope' (ibid.). Hartnett (1939, 78) also examined the stone but 'failed to find what could be called ogham scores'. There is now no clear evidence for an inscription on this stone. Two further possible ogham stones (CO060-187----, CO060-188----) are also associated with the enclosure (Power et al. 1997, no. 7996). 3d model created using photogrammetry (33 images) and processed with Agisoft PhotoScan
