资源简介:
This dataset is supplementary to the article, 'Time-integrated δ²H in
n-alkanes and carbohydrates from boreal needles reveal intra-annual
physiological and environmental signals'. In the article, we used
time integrated (a.k.a., time aggregated) variables, to identify
meaningful physiological and environmental interpretations from the
hydrogen isotope ratio (δ²H) of leaf n-alkanes and carbohydrates. We
conducted an intra-annual survey of five Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris L.)
trees in a coniferous forest in Hyytiälä, Finland. During 2019, we sampled
one year-old needles and current-year needles from the trees, biweekly. We
measured the δ2H of their n-alkanes (δ2Halkane), water-soluble
carbohydrates (δ²HWSC) and starch (δ²Hstarch). We also measured the
concentrations of total lipid extracts, water-soluble carbohydrates and
starch. We modelled source water δ2H, leaf water δ2H, and leaf water 2H
enrichment above source water; model specifications are described
thoroughly in the original article. This dataset includes time-integrated
versions of these modelled values used for analysis in this article.
