Site 604, from the uppermost continental rise 100 mi. southeast of Atlantic City, New Jersey, was investigated for diatoms, utilizing the processing methods of Abbott (1978, doi:10.1016/0377-8398(78)90009-9). Most of this assemblage is poorly preserved and appears to be reworked from Miocene and Eocene deposits.本次研究针对取自新泽西州大西洋城东南100英里处最上部大陆隆（continental rise）的604站位（Site 604），采用Abbott（1978年，doi:10.1016/0377-8398(78)90009-9）提出的样品处理方法，对其中的硅藻（diatoms）组分展开分析。所获硅藻组合的多数标本保存状况较差，且似乎源自经再改造作用的中新世（Miocene）与始新世（Eocene）沉积物。
