Survey Instrument: Extreme Heat Weather Information Ecosystem and Heat-Health during Pregnancy

This project advances understanding of the interaction between human behavior and meteorological information to support the strategic and effective response of pregnant individuals and their communities to health risks from increasing high temperatures and extreme heat events. The objective is to examine the weather information ecosystem (i.e., weather information needs, creation, and distribution) and heat-health knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors among pregnant people. The instruments from this project can be reused and/or modified to study extreme heat and other weather-related phenomena weather information ecosystems and people's knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs about hot weather and extreme heat events. The instruments are available in English and Spanish. The dataset and accompling technical documentation will be available in Fall 2024 for secondary data analysis. This project was funded by the U.
