Blended Skill Talk is a dialogue-focused dataset. This dataset analyzes how various functionalities are integrated into natural conversations, and compares the performance of different architectures and training schemes, which represents a critical capability for conversational agents. A high-quality open-domain conversational agent should seamlessly integrate qualities such as attractiveness, knowledgeability, and empathy into its dialogues. This dataset evaluates a spectrum of architectures and training approaches, spanning simple model aggregation frameworks that demand minimal extra training, to diverse forms of multi-task training. Experimental results demonstrate that multi-task training schemes deliver superior conversational performance relative to models trained with single-task objectives.
