We propose to implement magnetic coherent diffractive imaging (MCDI) on ID12, with the longer term prospect to perform volumetric and vectorial imaging under applied magnetic field. In this first step, we will work at the Gd L3 edge and first implement 2D-MCDI on magnetic domains in a thick Fe/Gd multilayer, then 3D-MCDI on Co-Gd microbeads with non-trivial magnetic configurations.
