Time use patterns of women in rural Bihar and Uttar Pradesh

Across the states of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, the Population Council has been rigorously evaluating a broad range of interventions through self-help groups aimed at improving maternal and child health outcomes of women while strengthening their collective empowerment through group cohesion. This dataset includes findings from a time use survey conducted in 2017–2018 that captures women’s time use patterns across women who have a child under one and those with children 5 years or older.
