Banana Boat Cruise to South of Lucinda Jetty 14 February 2004

The objective of the research reported in this thesis was to develop a technique to monitor the dynamics of sediments and nutrients entering the coastal ocean with river plumes associated with high intensity low frequency events (e.g. floods), using ocean colour remote sensing. The data collected included surface salinity, turbidity, Secchi disk and meteorology parameters.本论文所报道的研究目标为开发一项技术，借助海洋水色遥感（Ocean Colour Remote Sensing）手段，监测由与高强度低频事件（如洪水）相关的河流羽流（river plume）携入近海的沉积物与营养盐动态变化。本次研究所采集的数据包括表层盐度、浊度、赛克盘（Secchi disk）以及气象参数。
