Gene expression profiles from gastrocnemius of fasted Nnt-wt male mice exposed to hypoxia (12%O2) or normoxia for 6 hours (n=12 per group). Result showed that the FOXO1 was the main transcription factor regulated by hypoxia. FOXO1 activation induces regulation of gene expression related to protein degradation (ubequitin-proteasome system) (atrophy), autophagy and apoptosis inhibition. Overall design: Gastrocnemiuse muscle mRNA-seq profiles of 24-day-old Nnt-wt male mice after 6-hour hypoxia or normoxia (control) exposure (n = 12 per group). The mouse strain is B6JRccHsd(B6J)-Nnt<+>/Wuhap.
